Some of the event's committee members, including Deputy Mayor Caroline Corbin, wanted to raise a bit of money for both causes.
The day that Salisbury Pride UK was originally planned to go ahead on Saturday (13th June), Caroline and Melanie Russell walked from Salisbury Cathedral to Old Sarum and back again.
Along the way they were joined by friends and people who have helped organise the pride celebration.
Any money that the pair was raised was being split between Salisbury Pride UK and the mental health charity Mind.
Committee members completed the over 6 mile challenge in 2 hours and 25 minutes, raising around £500 in the process.
As our event insurance didn't cover diseases, our group are unable to claim back for the cancellation of it, so any donation was vitally important going forward.
